Ever thought of a romantic time flying a kite?...well, you can do so at Seaside. Kite flying is a fine art, displaying the magnitude of colorful attractions softly soaring where birds only visit. It's a fun and enjoyable experience to bask in romance hanging onto the end of a string with a kite flying high above the beach.

The boardwalk also offers the serenity, especially in the evening, an opportunity to stroll hand-in-hand in a pristine environment. The area is well lighted offering glimmering rays of light out over the sand filled beach. Feel free to leave the boardwalk and take refuge amongst the sandy beach. It's ideal for a romantic evening, before or after dinner.

Whenever you're hungry, the local restaurants will entice you to participate in some of the finest Northwest's seafood. You'll have several options to choose from; salmon, crab, halibut, shrimp, oysters, clams and the list goes on and on. We've found all of the local restaurants inviting...just pick one. In fact you can eat at a different restaurant for every meal.

There are many natural wonders to explore making a natural romantic time, and safe for the budget too. There are three-miles of wide open beach to explore, it's ideal for beachcombing, jogging or indulging in the sand castle building arena. The beach area to the south, Tillamook Head, is referred to as the Cove. It's a favorite for surfers and exploring the tide pools. To the north is mouth of the Necanicum River. It's ideal for bird watching.

Bicycling around Seaside is a fabulous way of exploration. You can rent them from a local shop or bring your own. If you want to head out into the sand, rent one of the three-wheeled cycles. They hold up well in the hard-packed sand. It's a thrill to hoist a make-shift sail on these cycles. Try out an umbrella, loop the umbrella handle into the handlebars and whala...you're off sailing down the beach at amazing speeds. It's a fun romantic time that you'll never forget!
