Orcas Island Invites You to Romance
Orcas Island has it's own unique romantic setting. It's very different
from the other islands in that it has more to offer; more hills, more
beach front, more protected harbors for the boaters and more surface area.
Even with the many beach fronts, most of them are private yielding few access
points such as the road end at Cormorant Bay, Buck Bay, West Beach and near
Smugglers Villa.
Mount Constitution makes for a fantastic view point. High above the San Juan Islands, you'll have spectacular scenes all around you, 2407 feet up! Whatever you do, you must go to Mount Constitution. If you're visiting by boat you'll have several marinas to choose from: Deer Harbor, Orcas Landing, West Beach Resort and Bartwood Lodge. They are have facilities and welcome you. You can get to Orcas Island by way of the Washington State Ferry System, private boat or small plane. The ferry will bring you right into Orcas Landing. This is a quaint village lined with an array of interesting small shops. It's ideal to browse around, absorb the scenic beauty and visit the unique boutiques. Romantic Lodging For those who want to indulge in a romantic style in a Victorian setting, the Orcas Hotel is for you. This majestic hotel has it all for the quaint romantic time together. It's close to the ferry dock and makes for a wonderful setting to stroll along the picturesque roadway around town. Deer Harbor Resort is nestled at the end of Deer Harbor, provided a protected waterway.
