Catalonia Spain...Independence?
January 23 - Luxury Romantic Vacations
Catalonia Spain is going through some local changes; however, there's no concern
for the Romantic Traveler. Spain's national government is reaching close
negotiations for the independence of this region within Spain. It's a
controversial topic within Spain's borders and abroad.
The region has a very distinguished culture, a bit different from the
traditional culture of the well-known Spain. With Barcelona as its
capital, the Mediterranean life-style marks a traditional aspect within the
Catalonia culture.
Most evident with this unique style of traditional within Spain is the
language, Catalonian. Granted, almost everyone in the region
speaks and understands Castilian Spanish, Catalonian is its own unique language.
The region offers some superb facilities along the Mediterranean Coast with a
host of water activates, modern attractions, spectacular nature scenes,
traditional foods and dancing through the night.
Not everyone agrees with this potential "split" from the traditional part of
Spain. One major concern is, once one region gains independence then another
region may want independence. The question arises, what will happen to Spain in
future years?
Nevertheless, Spain offers some superb Romantic Vacation opportunities.
A stroll amongst the old Roman Ruins allows you to cross the bridge of time into
another dimension. It's extremely fascinating.
